What actually differs between Free and Pro?

Both plans use the same resizing engine — Pro does not produce a "better" crop of the same format. What Pro changes is scope and output: every format instead of a subset, exports without the AutoAdfit watermark, a higher monthly allowance, and no ads in the interface. If the Free plan produces a result you are happy with, the Pro version of that same format is the identical layout without the watermark.

Who processes payments, and what about tax?

Payments run through Lemon Squeezy, acting as Merchant of Record. That means Lemon Squeezy — not a.Lab — is the seller on your receipt and is responsible for collecting and remitting VAT, GST and sales tax in your jurisdiction. Applicable tax is calculated at checkout based on your billing country, so the amount charged may be slightly higher than the listed price. Card details never reach our servers.

How does cancellation work?

You can cancel at any time from the customer portal. Cancellation stops the next renewal — it does not end your access immediately. You keep Pro features until the end of the period you have already paid for, then the account reverts to Free automatically. Nothing you have already exported is affected, and your account is not deleted.

Are refunds available?

Because Pro delivers digital output immediately, subscription fees are generally non-refundable once the service has been used within a billing period, except where consumer protection law in your country requires otherwise. If something went wrong — a failed charge, a duplicate subscription, or a plan that never activated after payment — that is a billing error rather than a refund request, and we will fix it. Write to us with your order reference.

Monthly or annual?

Annual billing is charged once for twelve months and works out cheaper per month. Monthly billing costs more per month but lets you stop after any single cycle. If your ad production is seasonal — a few intense campaign months rather than steady use — monthly is usually the better fit even at the higher rate, because the plan is only paying for itself in the months you actually export.

What happens when I hit the monthly limit?

Resizing stops for the remainder of the calendar month and resets at the start of the next one. Failed generations do not count against the allowance — the counter only increments when at least one format renders successfully, so a run that errors out costs you nothing.
